Found an article in www.bible.com regarding women in ministry. It's a long reading, but it basically argues that women can and encouraged to preach in church if it's their calling ...
The article also argues that when Paul mentioned in his letter that women should not teach, he was referring to either church that was out of order (Corinth) or has problem in it and "women" in the letter is not addressed to all women .. It also argues that throughout history, God has used godly women to teach men and women about the bible .. (the example is in the article) ...
any thoughts? :) ...

check this out....my thoughts is leaning towards this...

Conclusion:
God's word clearly tells us that the elder is to be the husband of one wife. A woman cannot qualify for this position by virtue of her being female. Whether anyone likes it or not is irrelevant to the fact that this is what the Bible teaches.
I've read both articles ... I am thinking the same thing as you cindy ... I am more convinced by the article that you gave ..
Does that mean that God loves women less if He does not allow women to be pastors? Of course not .. God gives salvation to women and men .. Jesus was also very close to some of its women disciples ...
I think more of It as a different role that God has set since the beginning and it should not be changed by cultural reasons at all ..
=)
yeah when i went to koorong the other day, there are many books that a bit misleading towards the bible....yeah you'll be surprise...
eventhough its a christian bookstore, there are many misled christian stuff in there....so yeah be careful in choosing books and articles, etc....=)
jadi skarang kalo mau beli buku, i rather ask my bro n sis in christ, or uncle joe kek siapa kek for a reference of the author....
and also always, we have to go back to the full pictures of the bibles and the background of the verses, before jump out to a conclusion...
ya ga? =)
someone said to me once, that if women want to teach, there are women and children audience, which would comprise more than half out world population. soo... the field is big..
